Two harbor seals were released back into the wild Sunday after months of rehab at a Long Island aquarium.

Before they were set free under the Ponquogue Bridge in Hampton Bays, the male 1-year-old seals — named Ares and Hermes – were equipped with satellite tags.

The equipment will allow biologists to track their movements and learn more about Harbor Seals, including how deep they dive under water and how far out they swim.

Ares was found washed up in Quogue on Oct. 12, while Hermes was stranded in Southampton on Nov. 8.

Both were underweight, dehydrated and had problems breathing before they were taken in by the Riverhead Foundation for Marine Research and Preservation.
