The founder of the chic cashmere company White + Warren, Susan White Morrissey, is about to list her downtown home for $3.45 million.
In 2014, she paid $2.95 million for the two-bedroom corner unit on the eighth floor of the Urban Glass House at 330 Spring St. in Hudson Square.
“I love renovating,” Morrissey tells Gimme Shelter. “After creating the perfect space for entertaining family and friends, it’s time for a change and my next project. It’s the year of change.”
The building, designed by Philip Johnson, comes with interiors by architect Annabelle Selldorf. Building amenities include a gym, a yoga room and a bike room.
The loft-like home is 1,722 square feet and comes with floor-to-ceiling glass walls, a chef’s kitchen, radiant heated floors and custom closets.
Morrissey is looking to move uptown. “The bonus is that my daughter and her family just moved uptown and many of my girlfriends live there, too,” she says.
Morrissey says she has always been a “Scorpio water girl,” but was able to give up living downtown, just a block from the Hudson River, in part because she just bought a charming cottage for $1.25 million in Little Compton, RI.
The listing brokers are S. Jean Meisel and Gillian Bland of Brown Harris Stevens.
