Amos, Hartmetz Named WCHA Players of the Week

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Jocelyn Amos is the WCHA's Rookie of the Week and Hadley Hartmetz is Defender of the Week, the conference announced Monday. The awards are the second of the season for the pair.
Amos tallied a team-high three goals and shared the team lead with four points in the Buckeyes' sweep of then-ranked No. 6 St. Lawrence. She scored two of the Buckeyes' program record 11 goals in the 11-0 game one win over the Saints. In game two, she recorded the team's game-winning goal to help the Buckeyes to a 5-1 win. The goal was also her first short-handed goal of her career and the team's second of the season.
Amos added 17 faceoff wins, two blocked shots and a +5 in last weekend's series.
Hartmetz led the Buckeyes with four assists against the Saints. Her four points tied for team-best on the weekend. In the Buckeyes' defensive zone, she helped hold the Saints to just 24 shots on goal in the series and one goal.
She finished with a team-high +7 on ice in the sweep of St. Lawrence, helping the Buckeyes secure their 13th straight win and fourth sweep of a top-10 opponent. The Phoenixville, Pa. native was on the ice for four of the team's five goals in Saturday's game.
