Plan Ahead – 1956

In whatever you would do
You must always think it through.

When you start to write a verse,
Be it long or be it terse,

Please be careful all the time
To always have in mind a rhyme,

One with meaning, one with sense,
One that’s in the proper tense.

Or you’ll be faced with something preposterous
Like having to end your pome with rhinosterous.
