There is a massive range of items that you can pick up in Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Rescue Team DX. Of course, the Gummi items are among the most desirable, but the food, berries, Ether, and possibly the Gravelerocks are the most used.
It’s great that there are so many different items to use in dungeons and to power-up Pokémon in Mystery Dungeon DX. However, it can make it challenging to know which items are good, which ones you should hold onto, and what to look out for in the dungeons and shops.
So, in this article, you’ll find sections that contain all of the gummi items, vitamins, belts, bands, scarfs, specs, orbs, seeds, berries, food, tickets, projectiles, and miscellaneous items in the game to help you get a better view of the things that you can find in Rescue Team DX.
All Gummis in Pokémon Mystery Dungeon DX
There are two gummi items in Mystery Dungeon DX, both of which are very powerful. You can use them to level-up your Pokémon’s stats and to give it or change its existing Rare Quality. For some extra help, here’s a comprehensive guide to the Gummi items and Rare Qualities in the game.
Gummi items can be consumed while in a Rescue Team Camp (found by turning left after leaving your house).
Item | Effect |
DX Gummi | Eating a DX Gummi guarantees that the Pokémon will gain a Rare Quality as well as see one of its stats (HP, Attack, Special Attack, Defence, Special Defence, Speed) increase. |
Rainbow Gummi | Eating a Rainbow Gummi will potentially give that Pokémon a Rare Quality as well as see one of its stats (HP, Attack, Special Attack, Defence, Special Defence, Speed) increase. |
All Vitamins in Pokémon Mystery Dungeon DX
Like the Gummi items, vitamins can be used to boost a set stat or move aspect permanently. The other vitamins, the elixir and ether items, are used to restore PP while you’re exploring dungeons.
Vitamin items can be consumed while in a Rescue Team Camp (found by turning left after leaving your house). Select the option ‘Get Stronger’ and then the item of choice.
Item | Effect |
Accuracy Drink | Raises the accuracy of one of the Pokémon’s moves permanently. |
Calcium | Raises a Pokémon’s special attack permanently. |
Carbos | Raises a Pokémon’s speed permanently. |
Iron | Raises a Pokémon’s defence permanently. |
Power Drink | Raises the power of a selected move permanently. |
PP-Up Drink | Raises the PP of a selected move permanently. |
Protein | Raises the Pokémon’s attack permanently. |
Zinc | Raises the Pokémon’s special defence permanently. |
Max Ether | Completely restores the PP of one of the Pokémon’s moves. |

All Clothes in Pokémon Mystery Dungeon DX
The belts, bands, bandannas, bows, ribbons, caps, capes, and scarves available in Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Rescue Team DX all have the same icon symbol on the ground in dungeons and Kangaskhan Storage.
You can equip each of them to a Pokémon to give it a boost, but you’ll have to choose carefully as each Pokémon only has one held item slot.
To do this, press X while in Pokémon Square or by your house, go to Team Selection, press A on a team, and then Give Items to get one of your Pokémon to use the Clothes item as a held item.
Item | Effect |
Big Eater Belt | The holder’s Belly metre fills up twice as much when they eat a food item. |
Cover Band | If near a teammate with low health, the holder takes the attack instead. |
Defense Scarf | The holder’s defence stat is boosted. |
Detect Band | The holder’s evasiveness is boosted. |
Efficient Bandanna | Sometimes, the holder’s moves won’t cost PP. |
Explosive Band | The Explosive Band will sometimes explode when the holder sustains damage. The explosion damages nearby Pokémon, destroys nearby floor items, and the holder doesn’t get Exp. if an enemy faints as a result. |
Fierce Bandanna | The power of the holder’s moves are greatly increased. |
Friend Bow | If held by your leader, Pokémon that you battle are more likely to want to join your team, and shiny Pokémon will want to join the team too. |
Heal Ribbon | The holder’s natural health recovery is sped up. |
Joy Ribbon | The holder can earn Exp. as turns go by, even if the holder doesn’t engage in battle. |
Lucky Ribbon | Holding a Lucky Ribbon prevents the Pokémon from sustaining critical hits. |
Mach Ribbon | The holder’s speed is boosted. |
Mobile Scarf | The holder can step through walls, walk across water, and to other places that normally cannot be reached, but it does empty the Belly metre of the holder faster than usual. |
Munch Belt | While the holder’s Belly metre empties quicker, the Munch Belt boosts the holder’s attack and special attack. |
No-Stick Cap | If held by the leader, items in your Toolbox don’t get sticky due to the effect of a trap or anything else. |
Nullify Bandanna | The Nullify Bandanna stops the holder’s ability from working. |
Pass Scarf | The holder can deflect moves and pass them on to nearby Pokémon, cutting its Belly metre as a result. |
Pecha Scarf | The holder cannot sustain the Poisoned or Badly Poisoned status. |
Persim Band | The holder cannot sustain the Confused status. |
Phase Ribbon | The holder can walk anywhere and break through most walls, but using this ability will cut the Pokémon’s Belly metre. |
Pierce Band | Items thrown in a straight line by the Pierce Band holder will pass through Pokémon and walls. |
Power Band | The holder’s attack is boosted. |
Prosper Ribbon | If the holder picks up Poké money, the Prosper Ribbon will heal its bad status and restore some health. |
Recovery Scarf | The holder recovers from bad statuses quicker than usual. |
Reunion Cape | The holder will be warped to near its teammates if the Pokémon gets separated from the rest of the team. |
Sneak Scarf | The holder can walk alongside a sleeping Pokémon without waking them up. |
Special Band | The holder’s special attacked is boosted. |
Stamina Band | The holder’s Belly metre empties at a slower rate. |
Tight Belt | The holder’s Belly metre won’t empty unless the Pokémon uses linked moves or passes through walls. |
Trap Scarf | If a Trap Scarf holder steps on a trap, the trap won’t be triggered. |
Twist Band | The holder’s stats cannot be lowered while wearing a Twist Band. |
Warp Scarf | The holder might randomly be warped to somewhere else on the dungeon floor. |
Weather Band | The holder never endures the effects – negative or positive – of the weather. To a Weather Band holder, it’s as if it’s always clear skies. |
Zinc Band | The holder’s special defence is boosted. |
All Specs in Pokémon Mystery Dungeon DX
Like the clothing items listed above, the Specs in Mystery Dungeon DX are held items that either boost the holder’s stats or grant them special perks while in dungeons.
To get your Pokémon to hold one of these items, press X while in Pokémon Square or by your house, go to Team Selection, press A on a team, and then Give Items to get one of your Pokémon to use it as a held item.
Item | Effect |
Fickle Specs | The holder’s critical hit rate is boosted when they use a different move than the move they used in the previous turn. |
Goggle Specs | The holder can see all traps that have been set in the dungeon. |
Heavy Rotation Specs | The holder’s critical hit rate is boosted when the Pokémon uses the same move that they used in the previous turn. |
Insomniscope | The holder cannot get the conditions Nightmare, Sleep, or Yawning. |
Lock-On Specs | When the holder throws an item, it never misses its target. |
Scope Lens | The holder’s critical hit rate is boosted for moves used against enemies. |
X-Ray Specs | The holder can see the locations of Pokémon and items on the map. |

All Seeds in Pokémon Mystery Dungeon DX
You’ll find that of all of the items in Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Rescue Team DX, the Reviver Seed and Tiny Reviver Seed are among the most important. Before embarking on any set of jobs in the game, it’s best to have a few of these seeds in your Toolbox.
To use a Seed in Mystery Dungeon DX, all you have to do is enter your Toolbox (while in a dungeon) and then select the item that you want to use. If one of your Pokémon faints, an automatic prompt will appear for you to use a Reviver Seed or Tiny Reviver Seed to revive the Pokémon.
Item | Effect |
Ban Seed | Eating a Ban Seed disables the last move that the Pokémon used. During the adventure, no other Pokémon will be able to use that move either. |
Blast Seed | You can either throw a Blast Seed to deal some damage or eat it to deal a massive amount of damage one tile in front of the Pokémon. |
Blinker Seed | Throwing a Blinker Seed at a Pokémon will give them the Blinker condition if it hits. |
Decoy Seed | While in your Toolbox, the Decoy Seed will be the first item targeted by hazards like Sticky Trap or moves like Pluck. You can also throw a Decoy Seed at a Pokémon to give them the Infatuated condition. |
Doom Seed | By throwing the seed and hitting an enemy with it, you can lower its level by one. |
Empowerment Seed | Eating an Empowerment Seed will awaken the user, make them very strong, and can trigger a Mega Evolution when used in the right place. |
Energy Seed | This seed increases your max health during the adventure at hand and restores a lot of health. |
Eye Drop Seed | Eating this seed gives the Pokémon the Eye Drop condition, which allows you to see traps. |
Heal Seed | Heals most bad status conditions. |
Joy Seed | Raises the Pokémon’s level by one. |
Life Seed | Permanently raises your maximum health slightly. |
Plain Seed | Fills your Belly metre a little bit, nothing more. |
Pure Seed | Warps you close to the stairs on your current floor. |
Quick Seed | Your travel speed is boosted for a short spell. |

To use a berry, all you have to do is access your Toolbox and select the berry that you want a Pokémon to eat. You can also give a Pokémon a berry to hold, which they will use if necessary.
