Washington University Student Associates and the Buddy Program
Washington University Student Associates (WUSA- pronounced Woo-sa) are upper-class student leaders who meet students during orientation and assist with the transition to Washington University. Their primary duties are to make sure their students understand academic deadlines, policies and resources and to help build community among transfer/exchange groups through activities. WUSAs partner with the Office of Overseas Programs on many activities for exchange students. The Buddy Program, organized by Overseas Programs, pairs incoming exchange students with WU students who have recently studied abroad, so exchange students have another of contact with a student familiar with WU and the transition to an international study experience.
