Kesha blasts JD Vance for attack on ‘childless cat ladies,’ endorses Kamala Harris: ‘F–k that man’
Kesha slammed Republican vice presidential candidate JD Vance for saying the US is run by “childless cat ladies who are miserable at their own lives and … want to make the rest of the country miserable, too.”
The “Joyride” singer was getting on a flight at Los Angeles International Airport on Thursday when a paparazzo stopped her to ask what she thought of Vance.
“Boo! F–k that man! That’s all I have to say. F–k them all,” Kesha, 37, replied in a video obtained by TMZ.
When asked whether she believes the country is led by “childless cat ladies,” the Grammy nominee joked, “It is, bitch!” before agreeing with the pap that the comment was “absolutely” sexist.
Kesha then shared that she “absolutely” plans on supporting presumptive Democratic nominee Kamala Harris for president and will campaign for the vice president.
Vance, 39, found himself on the receiving end of criticism after his 2021 interview with Fox News resurfaced earlier this week.
In the now-viral video, the “Hillbilly Elegy” author questioned how politicians such as Harris and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) can control the “entire future of the Democrats” when they are “without children.”
“How does it make any sense that we’ve turned our country over to people who don’t really have a direct stake in it?” he asked.
Vance is running for vice president alongside Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump.
Harris, 59, has two stepchildren, Cole, 29, and Ella, 25, with her husband, Doug Emhoff.
After the video went viral, Ella stood up for her stepmom by gushing about how much she loves her “three parents.”
Jennifer Aniston also expressed her disagreement with Vance’s resurfaced remarks.
“I truly can’t believe this is coming from a potential VP of the United States,” the “Friends” star wrote on her Instagram Story.
Aniston, who previously discussed her fertility struggles, added that she prays that Vance’s “daughter is fortunate enough to bear children of her own one day.”
“I hope she will not need to turn to IVF as a second option. Because you are trying to take that away from her, too,” she continued.
Aniston, 55, joins a slew of celebrities and politicians who have endorsed Harris for POTUS since President Biden dropped out of the race last Sunday.
Most recently, former President Barack Obama and his wife, Michelle Obama, called Harris to give her their support.
Beyoncé, George Clooney, Charli XCX, Cardi B, Barbra Streisand, Ariana Grande and Jessica Alba are among the other stars who have publicly given their nod of approval to Harris.
