Cytomorphologic Criteria:
Abnormal well preserved intermediate urothelial cells showing an increased N/C ratio (80%) and irregular nuclear membranes in the absence of nuclear hyperchromasia.
Explanatory Notes:
The absence of hyperchromasia excludes a diagnosis of SHGU or HGUC. The case is best labeled as 'atypical urothelial cells' due to the increased N/C ratio and the presence of irregular nuclear membranes.
