The judgment comes nearly 20 weeks after the Unstoppable actress filed for a dissolution of marriage on Aug. 20. The exes, who rekindled their romance in 2021, married in an intimate Las Vegas ceremony in July 2022. They later celebrated their nuptials with a ceremony in Georgia in front of friends and family on Aug. 20, 2022. Lopez filed for divorce exactly two years after the Georgia ceremony, listing April 26, as their date of separation and citing irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split. She filed at the Los Angeles County Superior Court without a lawyer, requesting no spousal support for either party, for attorney's fees to be split, and noted that the "exact nature" of their community, quasi-community assets, and separate property and obligations are "unknown" and "will be determined." A week after she filed, Lopez seemed "relieved," according to a source close to the star, who added at the time, though, "She didn't want a divorce. She wanted to figure things out. They love each other. Jennifer is not the type to just give up." At that same time, an additional source said Affleck appeared to be "doing well and is very focused" in the wake of the filing: "He thrives when he has work projects. He's been great when it comes to the kids too. He's doing exactly what he wants. He seems very happy." While Lopez was promoting her film Atlas and attending the Met Gala solo, the two were later seen out together in Los Angeles and reunited for Affleck's daughter Violet's graduation ceremony. Lopez shares twins Max and Emme, 16, with ex-husband Marc Anthony. Affleck, who was previously married to Jennifer Garner, shares three children with Garner: Violet, 18, Seraphina, 15, and Samuel, 12. Affleck spent most of his summer working on The Accountant 2 in Los Angeles. The actress recently returned from a trip to the Toronto International Film Festival, where she made her first public appearance since her divorce filing at the premiere of Unstoppable on Sept. 6. Affleck, who co-produced the film, was not present. On Sept. 16, Affleck and Lopez enjoyed a family lunch together with their kids at the Beverly Hills Hotel's Polo Lounge. In December, Lopez posted a video montage recapping her year with some memorable moments featured, including her showstopping appearance at the 2024 Met Gala, walking the red carpet at the premiere of her movie Atlas, clips from her films Unstoppable and This Is Me ... Now: A Love Story. "I am very proud of how I handle all the things. All the things," she said in an interview included in the Instagram video, adding in another clip, "In my low moments, I've learned to just feel the feelings and then let them go." Close
