 LANDS BUREAU COMMENCES PROPERTY AUDIT FOR REGULARIZATION PURPOSES WITHIN LEKKI CORRIDOR  The Directorate of Land Regularization under the Lagos State Lands Bureau has commenced property audit exercises targeting properties without proper land titles in government acquisition/revocation areas within Thera Estate, Miracle Avenue, Sangotedo, Ajah, and Greenland Estate, Olokonla, Eti-Osa. The team, under supervision by Permanent Secretary, Mr. Kamar Olowoshago and led by Esv. Olayinka Wasiu, Director of Land Regularization, alongside Esv. Kayode Bombata as well as other relevant government officials, focused on engaging residents on the importance of land regularization. During the exercise, residents were educated on the benefits of obtaining proper land documentation and the potential risks of dealing with land grabbers.  Esv.   SSANU, NASU threaten strike over withheld salaries The Joint Action Committee of the Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities and the Non-Academic Staff Union of Educational and Associated Institutions have threatened to disrupt industrial peace in universities should the government fail to release the withheld salaries of members. The salaries were seized by the administration of former President Muhammadu Buhari during their strike in 2022. The unions, in a joint letter signed on Friday by the President of SSANU, Muhammed Ibrahim and General Secretary of NASU, Peters Adeyemi, questioned the rationale with which the government released four months withheld salaries to members of the Academic Staff Union of Universities but failed to release the withheld salaries of non-academic staff.
