First of all, thanks for all the coments and critcis, so wellcome both.
For the difference between textured and none texture parts of the art i have to say that i tryed to make those brick parts look older, like if they have reused an old castle but just keeping the walls, Also used those different technics for differencing more the scrolls on the game. (This doesn´t mean that you are not right). I also have a version full of textures, but it was too much information for the art, and was worst looking.
For the controls probably you´re right Manupix, i recilced those from other old art...
Will try it harder for next one.
P.S.: This is the screen i used as reference:

Agree with r1k in every thing. It would certainly help you to try and reduce that insane color count
Aim for 32, with a balanced palette and color recycling.
this looks pretty awesome but I think it has some inconsistancies that are holding it back like, bowser has no texture, but the green bricks have alot of texture (but nothing else does). Everything else is smooth, but sky is dithered. Some things have dark outlines, some lighter outlines that arent as noticable, and some things have no outlines. You also dont really have any color harmonies going on at all here. So all put together it just looks a little bit... off. Even though the style is pretty cool. The bowser design is awesome though, good job on that.
The actual game are has a kind of rough sketchy feel, but the controller part at the bottom is very controlled, and geometric. I can understand wanting the 2 sections to be distinct, but maybe making the controller match the style of the graphics match more might work. Maybe not, I dont know.
I love the font, it feels so Mario 64
Also, you have great stylized interpretations of them.
I love it! Bowser's hair reminds me of Ganondorf which isn't a bad thing. I especially love Mario's hat.
I think it is totally possible to make the bricks look old without fancy texturing as long as you make their edges very uneven. The more geometic and perfect they are, the newer they probably are, right?
