How to Play

Evade and kill all the enemies in the level before the timer runs out.

• Starting the Game
  • On the welcome screen:
    • Select Start to begin the game.
      • Each time you play the game, you begin with a tutorial level.
      • Follow the on-screen instructions to learn how to play the game.
      • Exit the tutorial by moving to the right after defeating the monster.
    • Select Music to turn the game’s music on or off.
  • Your web browser automatically saves your game progress.

      • Use the up arrow key to jump.
      • Use the C key to attack.

  • Basic rules
    • Evade the enemies to prevent them from attacking you.
      • You can dodge them by running away or by hopping onto a platform.
      • Alternate between dodging and chasing them to take them out.
    • Kill all the enemies.
      • To kill an enemy, attack them 3 times.
      • You have a very short range, so a hit and run strategy is required to kill them without them killing you.
    • Take out all the enemies in the level within the time limit.
    • Earn cash each time you defeat a monster. The cash has literally no function in the game, but hey, you’re rich! 😀
  • Lives
    • You start the game with 3 lives, represented by hearts on the top left corner of the screen.
      • Each time a monster touches you, you lose a life.
      • Lose all your lives and it’s game over.
      • This game offers unlimited continues and restarts you at the beginning of the level you lost on.
    • If you lose some of your health and beat a level you’ll start the next level with reduced health.
      • Whenever you die you’ll restart the level with full health.
  • Tips
    • Most enemies take 3 hits to defeat, while some take 4 or 5 hits to beat.
      • Track how many times you’ve hit each enemy so you know how many more times you’ll need to hit them to defeat them.
      • As much as possible try to focus your efforts on damaging one particular enemy at a time so you quickly clear the field of enemies, giving you more move options & making you less likely to get hit.
    • Elevation & barriers
      • In some cases you can shoot across chasms between two platforms or shoot off a slightly misaligned platform, making it easy to do damage to an opponent while making it hard for them to hit you.
      • If you feel like you might get trapped try to jump up and around to avoid risky situations & try to pick off your opponents one at a time.

  • The game is suited for players who celebrate Halloween or like simple retro fighter games.
  • The game has no adult themed content.
