Shepherd is the place to be!
I transferred to Shepherd University after starting at a community college, and I couldn't be happier. The staff, especially the counselors and advisers, are incredibly supportive and always willing to help. The professors are approachable and genuinely invested in your success. The campus is beautiful, and there’s a strong sense of community here. I’ve made some great friends and found plenty of opportunities to get involved. Overall, Shepherd has exceeded my expectations.

Great school, but some quirks
I really enjoy my time at Shepherd University. It’s a cozy little place where everyone seems to know each other, which I love. The small class sizes mean you get to know your professors well, and they’re always ready to help. However, I do feel like the school has some political leanings that may not sit well with everyone. If you’re looking for a balanced view in your education, you might want to consider that. But for me, it’s a great fit!

Not for me
I had high hopes for Shepherd University, but I've been pretty disappointed. The small class sizes are nice, but the liberal arts focus is heavily skewed. As an Independent, I feel like the curriculum doesn’t offer a balanced perspective, which is frustrating. I expected a more diverse range of viewpoints in my education. If you're looking for a school that challenges all ideas and perspectives, you might want to look elsewhere.
