About Shelby

Sweet Shelby is a lovely little lady. Her eyes are beautiful and unique. One is crystal blue and one is mostly brown. She's currently 15 mos old and 54 lbs. Shelby and her 9 siblings were born in our rescue last year and she was adopted by a loving family, but their older dog never accepted Shelby and completely ignored her... this combined with the family's increasingly busy schedules and travelling left her feeling alone and anxious. She developed a fear of any loud noises and began hiding all day. Knowing this was not a good life for her, the family returned her to our care in hopes of finding her a better home.�٩� Thankfully, she is quickly regaining her confidence as she is being fostered by one of her sibling's families. As her confidence returns, so has her personality! She loves being around people & has become very silly and playful.. until she decides it is time to cuddle right up against you or even on top of you like a blanket.�ٴ� Shelby NEEDS to be with a friendly, confident dog that accepts her as part of the pack. She loves playing with and being around all sorts of other dogs of all ages... but maybe not too small as she DOES have a high prey drive and likes to chase squirrels, rabbits, or cats that run away. She is housetrained (but prefers using a doggy door). She is crate trained & walks well on leash. She has already been spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and is heartworm negative. She is currently on heartworm & flea/tick prevention.
