In this decade of Hungarian history it was typical for poor farmers from the countryside to move to big industrial cities, or to the capital of Hungary, Budapest, with the hope of a better life. These men left there families, and most of them found an other wife (or other sexual partners) in the cities, and most of them became alcoholics because of the circumstances.
