The few people she knows have an outlook on the world, which is both cruel and simplistic; blaming the problems in their own lives on the ever-changing demographic landscape of the area. Maggie quietly passes her days surrounded by these people. Bill, her estranged alcoholic husband crashes back into her life, whilst Linda and Iris, her elderly bingo playing partners, give their not so subtle take on immigration.
