He meets Dawn (Dawn O'Day), a tap-dancer from his home town and she takes him to a movie studio where his imitation of a crying baby gets him a film contract. His hillbilly friends, The Rdaio Rubes, come to town and they go to a cabaret. There, he sees the person in the picture performing on stage.
