Perhaps the earliest known version is as old as the 14th century. In the hands of the Spanish choreographer Marcos Morau, the ancient tale is transformed into an allegory of our relationship with time. On stage stand 15 dancers in identical stage costumes, trapped, seemingly beyond time and space.
