Professor Hagen decides on a desperate gamble. The computer safety factor must be over-ridden and the controls operated manually, enabling them to travel at twice hyper-speed. It will mean risking the entire ship blowing up, but it is a chance that must be taken. It is a danger-fraught journey, but in the fighting the Imperial Alliance's warship has been badly damaged and Captain Orion seriously injured. Before dying, he insists on being taken to his carrier ship, leaving the mother ship while it is being repaired. He is determined to make one final attack on X-Bomber before his death. In the suicide mission, he succeeds in damaging X-Bomber. It seems that Makara, now able to follow him, has X-Bomber at her mercy. A desperate situation needs desperate measures. Shiro and his colleagues Hercules and Lee take the Dai-X into the heart of Makara's ship. It proves to be a decisive attack. Commander Makara is finally destroyed, but the Imperial Master is closer than ever to Earth. Written by Anonymous See less
