Early voting starts today in Virginia for the November election.

Republicans have been encouraging voters to take part in early voting.

All 140 seats in the General Assembly are up for grabs this fall. Currently, Republicans hold a slim majority in the House while Democrats hold a slim edge in the Senate.

In Rockingham County, folks can vote early in-person at the County Administration Center on East Gay Street. Voting hours are 8-to-4 Monday through Friday, and 9-to-5 the last two Saturdays before Election Day.
