College Official Logo
The proposed official logo of the College of Education is presented below:
The circular shape of the logo represents continuity of learning. As learning is unending process, circle represents that the college is committed to continuous development, improvement and innovation in teacher education curriculum. The wave lines on the margin recognize the idea of constant change and the ups and downs of learning and improvement.
The olive wreath symbolizes excellence and represents the college credo. Olive wreath is usually given as a price during the Ancient Olympics and it represents victory, success, and achievement.
The torch represents education as a light during the dark times. It also represents truth, where teachers are expected to tell the truth especially in times of universal deceit.
There are three shadows in the background, which are: the Quezon City Pylon, gear, and book pages. The Quezon City pylon represents the idea that while preparing students to become future educators, they are also molded to become builders of Quezon City, where in ideals of the city’s founding fathers as well as the culture of the city are embedded in their journey as pre-service teachers in Quezon City University. Gears represent technology, the college believes that the partner of progress is technology as well as education in general. The college recognizes the role of technology in improving the delivery of quality education and services. The book pages represent search for knowledge and the teaching and learning in general.
The college is committed in producing employable graduates who are highly competent and dedicated in achieving excellence in all their endeavors. That is why, the Latin word for “Competence and Excellence” is embedded in the college official logo.
Lastly, the blue color in the logo represents the universal color for education.
