The new Spartan Aspis Shield can only be obtained in the new game plus mode. If you do not have this option, then you will need to complete the game first and then start the new game plus mode.
Getting The Spartan Aspis Shield In God Of War: Ragnarok
Once you start the new game plus mode, you can get the Spartan Aspis Shield as soon as you get to the very first shop. You can buy it for 7500 Hacksilver. The shield has a smaller parry window but a more powerful counter-attack, which makes it very useful once you can get the parry timing down. The special counter of the shield throws regular enemies back, and they can hit other enemies as they fly back. Higher-tier enemies can be thrown into the air allowing you to juggle them or deal damage.
To perfect your parry, you can practice in Niflheim. Try changing the enemy types and switching to Special and Elite enemies to perfect the parry timing. The base variant that you can buy is level 6. To level up the shield to level 10, you will need Forsaken Breath.
