Head Coach Andy Morgan
Andy Morgan is the head coach and founder of Ripped Body. He is an author, speaker, and entrepreneur from Birmingham, UK, but has spent the last 20 years living in Japan.
Frustrated with seeing his friends ripped off by the supplement industry, Andy started Ripped Body in 2011, debunking myths and sharing no-nonsense guides to physique transformation. He started coaching when readers asked him to coach them online, and he has been doing that full-time ever since.
Andy co-authored the bestselling Muscle and Strength Pyramid: Nutrition and Training books (100,000 copies sold), which are popular with personal trainers and other coaches. He is also the author of The Diet Adjustments Manual. His work has been translated into seven languages.
Andy’s Japanese website, AthleteBody.jp (started in 2012), is considered Japan’s most trusted fitness site. He has spoken at conferences in the US, UK, Japan, Mexico, and Thailand.
Andy has coached over 2000 people and was the sole coach at Ripped Body until hiring Coach Matt in 2021 and Coach Harry in 2024.
Andy lives in Tokyo. In his free time, he reads business and war biographies, hikes, and snowboards. Recently, he started road cycling.
Coach Matt Dustin
Matt Dustin is a coach and fitness author. He has worked in the fitness industry since 2012, when he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from Towson University, Maryland, USA.
During his senior year, he interned at the Under Armour Performance Center in Baltimore, working with athletes and clients of all ages and skill levels. After graduating, he spent several years working at a gym in Maryland and training clients online before moving to San Diego in 2015.
In San Diego, he spent his time working at a sports physical therapy clinic, where he developed rehab programs with physical therapists and worked with clients in the strength room. During this time, he also trained a handful of fitness clients at a private personal training studio.
In 2017, he moved fully online to work for the nutrition company Stronger U, where he worked with hundreds of clients from all walks of life, and eventually spent time as a coach mentor, helping the new coaches with their clients. In 2021, he joined Ripped Body.
Matt has authored three nutrition books published through Simon & Schuster, and his writing has appeared in major fitness outlets, such as Bodybuilding.com, T-Nation, EliteFTS, and Sports Illustrated.
Matt lives in Las Vegas. Aside from lifting, he loves reading, traveling, watching baseball and football, collecting tattoos, and spending time with his girlfriend and dog.
