Halloween Crafts from around the Web

DIY Mini Mummies via Classic Play.com

From the end of Summer onwards I am full on into Christmas crafting so excuse the lack of Halloween craftiness, it's like a game of seasonal monopoly, I passed Summer and went directly to Winter, do not pass Autumn (Go) do not collect $200.

This year is no different, I'm knee deep in Christmas projects, hand quilting and tree decorations, and loving it, so here are some of my favourite Halloween projects from across the web. Projects I would totally make myself... if only I could get the smell of Gingerbread houses and sound of Jingle bells out of my head.

I absolutely love these posable mummies by classic-play.com, I made some last year for the little fella to take to school in his lunch box, they are so quick and easy to make, even for a last minute Halloween Mama like my good self!

I've seen these made with Brown paper bags at Something Monumental and either cut outs or simply black pen, quick and easy project.

Looking for something creepy and Halloween inspired to wear to the office without overdoing it on the costumery? look no further than this very blog for my recycled Teeny Tiny Spell book pendants.

Freebie project from Mollie Makes - Cross stitch Critters

I love these, kinda Halloweeny, but still cool for stocking stuffers. Did you know it's only 60 sleeps til Dec 25th my lovelies, don't say I didn't warn you it was coming, (since like June!!)

The pattern has the charts for 6 creepy cute monsters and instructions for stuffies, pencil cases and a few other projects. Such a great idea for hard to craft for boys or girls.

This Freebie project comes from The Making Spot the craft site of UK Magazine Mollie Makes. You'll need to sign up (Free) and add it to your cart but then it's free to download. I love the Magazine but can't always get hold of it in Canada so it's great to know that most of the projects are available to buy and sometimes free on their site, yippee!

They have 50% off their Halloween projects right now so go have a look, between 26th - 28th October they are also featuring free Haloween projects on The Making Spot Blog.

Enjoy

Tutorial Kids Halloween Crafts - Milk Bottle Top Spiders

Nothing gives away your age like being obsessed with pipe cleaners and pompoms. Yup 70's child front and centre! Except when I was little they actually were for cleaning pipes and only came in Yellow from the smoke shop. Hard to believe I'm only mid 30's right?
Moving swiftly on, just made these for the little guy and had to share, tons of fun, Pompoms, Googly eyes, Pipe Cleaners, Ribbon, and ... Milk Bottle Tops, heaven.

Milk Bottle Top
Glue on your pompoms
Glue on two more for eyes and 2 Googly eyes

Wrap base of lid in ribbon/bias tape just to hide the ugly plastic. If you have plenty of pompoms you could use those instead
Cut a small piece of Pipe cleaners for fangs and 8 Z shaped pieces for legs
Glue on fangs
Flip him/her over and glue the legs in place, hold on to each one for 5-10 secs to make sure it's glued properly or it will come off when you start rearranging the legs.

Flip it back over and play around with the legs until it either sits or stands.

It's ok they're tame, just don't feed them after midnight! (Ancient movie reference ahoy!)
