The enriched pontifex shadow ring is a pontifex shadow ring that has been imbued with the power of Erebus. It can be imbued for no cost via the right-click action after completion of Extinction.

The imbued ring provides the following effects over the unenriched version:

The ring's exact effects on chronicle fragments and time sprites are currently unknown.

Rockertunities' cooldown of 24–36 seconds decreases to between 24–26.4 seconds. The upcoming rockertunity cooldown is updated the moment the player equips the enhanced pontifex shadow ring and mines one XP drop from a core rock, including if that rock had rockertunity active. Afterwards, the enhanced pontifex shadow ring can be unequipped until the upcoming rockertunity is mined. This means players can swap between Ring of Whispers and the enhanced pontifex shadow ring during rockertunity cooldowns to further increase XP.

The enriched ring will retain all effects from charging with elder god anima, as well as the overcharge effect, but does not need to be charged to be enriched. It additionally retains the Senntisten cathedral teleport and Elder Trove effects.

If lost, the ring can be reclaimed from Wahisietel in the Senntisten Cathedral.

Upgrades[edit | edit source]

The ring can be upgraded by using resonant anima of the Elder Gods, obtained from the bosses, Slayer creatures, or skilling in the Elder God Wars Dungeon. The anima that they drop is untradeable until the ring has been upgraded with 1,000 of the corresponding resonant anima. The upgrades are permanent and once upgraded, it's not possible to use a ring of lower tier. All enriched benefits are available passively after the ring has been overcharged.[1] To overcharge the ring, talk to Wahisietel at the cathedral in Senntisten with 5,000 of each type of anima in your inventory.
