Chapter 14: Passing the Torch Strategies
Omi Union Members (Survive Bar)
The Omi Union Members can easily be dealt with if you have acquired the skills Extreme Satellite Laser or Divine Shot. Use them to clear out the groups of enemies quickly.
Kazuma Kiryu
Be sure to prepare a good amount of healing items before going through the door to face Kazuma Kiryu. Note that he will be at Lv.57 when you face him.
Kiryu has access to four combat styles that he switches frequently throughout the fight. His damage output is very high and has many actions. One viable strategy against him is to use poison skills that damage him each turn. A good way to do this is to have Han use Poison Shot to avoid getting countered.
Note that poison and any status conditions Kiryu incurs are removed whenever he changes styles. This means that you will have to reapply poison and any other debuffs when he goes into a new stance.
Kiryu is weak to cold so having characters set to the Host or Hostess classes will give you an advantage against him. Using magic will be especially important when Kiryu changes to his Rush or Dragon of Dojima styles that grant him powerful counterattacks when at melee range.
Lowering Kiryu’s defense with Meromero Typhoon or Burning Turtle Crush is also recommended when fighting him. You can also take advantage of Kiryu’s refusal to directly attack female characters by putting Eri and Saeko in the party.
Reiji Ishioda and Mirror Face
Reiji will be accompanied by Mirror Face when you face him in the Snack District hideout. The best way to defeat them is to focus on taking out Mirror Face first and focus on Ishioda afterwards.
Mirror Face is weak to knives and bullets so Zhao’s knife attacks and Han’s gun attacks work the best against him. Other good skills to use include Phantom Drive Culmination and Extreme Sattelite Laser. When Mirror Face falls, turn your attention to Ishioda.
The best strategy against Ishioda is to attack him with any of the damage types he is weak to which are heat, cold, and shock. It is also a good idea to use skills that poison him and lower his defense as with the fight against Kiryu.
When you see Ishioda radiate a red aura, pummel him with attacks that he is weak to, causing him to become staggered. Using attacks other than those he is weak to during this state will allow him to unleash a powerful counter that deals massive damage.
