This study attempts to solve this difficulty by utilizing the approach of application-in-the-loop (AITL) simulation. AITL has not been considered in previous studies regarding simulation federation. This study proposes a method of linking an application to an agent of multi-agent based simulation (MABS) for AITL. We design and implement a simulation federation platform to study this approach. Furthermore, two applications are discussed based on the simulation results.
