eigenvectors for pentadiagonal matrices. A new efficient computational algorithm to find the
determinant of a general pentadiagonal matrix is presented. The algorithm is suited for
implementation using computer algebra systems such as MAPLE, MATHEMATICA, MATLAB
and MACSYMA.
