Abstract
In order to evaluate competitiveness of sustainability for major liners, multiple indexes are collected for reflecting liners’ achievements based on publicly available sources. In consideration of existence of subjective factors of such kind of assessment, this study applies intuitionistic linguistic variables to depict the information of decision making with multiple attributes, and combination coefficients are introduced to fuse the objective entropy weight and the subjective weight of various attributes. An optimal combination weighting method based on square sums of distance is adopted to calculate the integrated evaluation values of liners. As for case studies, 5 larger container liners are selected as an illustrative example and they are ranked based on the integrated linguistic evaluation values and membership degrees as the basic measures of competitiveness.
