I.L.G. Nurtjahjaningsih, Ph.D., Indonesian. She studied for master's and a doctoral degrees from the University of Tokyo, Japan from 2002 to 2008. She conducted postdoctoral and collaboration research on the genetic diversity of tropical species (Eusideroxylon zwageri at The University of Tokyo from 2014 to 2015. At present, she is affiliated with the Center for Biotechnology and Tree Improvement in the Ministry of Environmental and Forestry Republic of Indonesia. Her occupation is as a researcher in molecular genetics, with a research focus on tree improvement and plants conservation. She has been both a principal investigator and coinvestigator in research projects, especially on the tree improvement and genetic conservation of tropical forest species since 1997.
