Francesco Sessa is an Assistant Professor at the Institute of Legal Medicine, Department of Medical, Surgical and Advanced Technologies “G.F. Ingrassia”, University of Catania, Italy. He also holds a position as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Foggia. He is a Technical Consultant in the field of forensic genetics for several Italian Courts. He holds a Ph.D. in Translational Medicine from the University of Foggia, studying adverse effects linked to the use and abuse of anabolic–androgenic steroids. He is a member of G.E.F.I. (the Italian Scientific Society, belonging to the International Society for Forensic Genetics) and the American Academy of Forensic Science.
