Kosiv Raion (Ukrainian: Косівський район) is a raion (admeenistrative destrict) o the Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast o Ukraine. The ceety o Kosiv is the admeenistrative centre o the raion.

The destrict is locatit in the Precarpathie region o Ukraine. The total aurie is 903 km² wi 91,1 thoosan inhabitants.

The climate is moderately continental.

The muntains go up tae 1000 m abuin the sea level in the muntainous pairt o the raion. Thare are few big rivers amang the muntains: Cheremosh — 80 km, Pistynka — 56 km, Rybnytsa — 54 km.

Airchaeological fynds show that the territory o the raion wis inhabitit frae the Neolithic times. First written information aboot Kosiv is frae 1424. Firstly, the toun wis cried Rykiv, an anerly latter it wis renamit tae Kosiv. Ither auld dounsets o the raion are Kobaky (15t century), Kuty (1448), Vyzhnii Bereziv (1412).
