Yu-Gi-Oh! Is Back With 3 New Video Games
It’s time to duel!
Yu-Gi-Oh! was one of Shonen Jump’s biggest hits in the early 2000s, standing side-by-side with the likes of Naruto and One Piece. While it may not have hit the highs of its contemporaries, the franchise has been kept alive by dedicated fans.
In a special “Yu-Gi-Oh! Digital Next” livestream recently, Konami unveiled new Yu-Gi-Oh! video games, including Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel and Yu-Gi-Oh! Cross Duel.
They also showed off Yu-Gi-Oh! Rush Duel and new content for the popular Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Links mobile and PC game.
Yu-Gi-Oh! Rush Duel is planned for release in English this autumn on Nintendo Switch, and is based on the Yu-Gi-Oh! Sevens anime, which introduced a whole new spin on the classic Yu-Gi-Oh! trading card format.
Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel lets players old and new enjoy the hugely popular Yu-Gi-Oh! trading card game in digital form. Players across the globe can compete in intense collectible card Duels, which are both thrilling to play and watch.
Unlike other Yu-Gi-Oh! titles that have featured elements from the manga and anime, Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel is solely based on the Yu-Gi-Oh! online card game, and it promises to be the most complete Yu-Gi-Oh! digital card game yet.
Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel is coming worldwide to PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, Steam, iOS and Android. This will be the first time for Yu-Gi-Oh! to feature 4K graphics on supported devices.
Yu-Gi-Oh! Cross Duel, on the other hand, spices things up by introducing four-player dueling action. More details about this exciting new Yu-Gi-Oh! project will be announced soon, with a planned release for iOS and Android worldwide.
Lastly, Konami also announced that its free-to-play mobile and PC game Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Links has achieved 140 million downloads worldwide, with duelists across the world collecting more than 65 billion cards and engaging in six billion Duels.
