Spotify was the most downloaded Music category app worldwide for August 2019 with more than 17.5 million installs, which represented a 17 percent increase from August 2018. The countries with the most installs of the app during this period were the United States at 14 percent of its total downloads and India at 13 percent. YouTube Music was the second most installed Music category app worldwide last month with more than 12.2 million installs, which represented a 74 percent increase from August 2018. The countries with the largest number of YouTube Music installs were the U.S. at 15 percent, followed by Brazil at 14 percent. Drum Pad Machine, Shazam, and Gaana rounded out the top five most installed Music category apps worldwide for the month.
