Life of Pi is a 2001 novel by Canadian author Yann Martel. The story is about the life of Pi Patel, a boy from Pondicherry, India. While moving to Canada by sea, he becomes stranded on a boat with a Bengal Tiger.

The novel was the winner of the Man Booker Prize in 2002. A movie would later be made in 2012.
