Shelly C. Lowe (born 1974/1975) is an American academic administrator. She is the chair of the National Endowment for the Humanities. Since 2022, under the Joe Biden administration. She was a member of the endowment since 2015, after being nominated by President Barack Obama.[1] Lowe is the first Native American to be chair of the National Endowment for the Humanities.[2]
