FUS is a novel non-invasive therapeutic modality which has exquisite spatial specificity and depth penetrability. Our lab focuses on developing various therapeutic applications of FUS.

Our lab utilizes various image-guided solutions (e.g. optical/electromagnetic navigation, 3D printing, and robotics) for precise therapeutic application. We deal with multi-modal medical images including anatomical and functional data.

BMI is a direct communication pathway between a brain and an external device. Our lab focuses on bi-directional BMI (both read-out and write-in) using electroencephalography (EEG) and low-intensity focused ultrasound (LIFU).
