You MUST identify the following: Hypothesis- prediction of your experiment Control- what I keep the same Independent Variable- what I change Dependent Variable- what I observe Now develop a step by step process to test your hypothesis. Include a Materials list.

Which paper towel is the most absorbent? Using the Scientific Method, you are to develop an experiment to answer the question presented. You will be given the following materials: 3 sheets of different paper towel graduated cylinder beaker or cup scissors Dropper Ruler

International System of Units (SI) or Metric System Length- meter (m) Mass- gram (g) Volume- liter (l) Temperature- Celsius or Kelvin Weight- Newton (N) based on gravitational force Metric System is easier to use because it uses base 10 system.

14 Volume, Area and Density
Area = Length X Width 2 ways to find Volume Six sided object (box) Volume = L x W x H Irregular object- Use water displacement method to find volume Density- amount of matter an object occupies D= mass volume
