WORCESTER, Mass. - For almost all the fans, Tuesday will be their first time at Polar Park. We documented our journey getting to the park to let fan knows what they can expect.
From the Greendale area, we hopped on I-290 to make our way down to the ball park. The City of Worcester is asking fans to take Exit 16. Don't worry about getting lost, there are plenty of signs pointing you in the right direction.
It took us 10 minutes to get to one of the city's designated parking spots with little to no traffic. We parked in Lot A across from Bay State Brewery and Taproom.
From Lot A, we made our way down the street and in the direction of Polar Park. In the Canal District, Worcester Red Sox signs and banners can be found hanging from restaurants excited to get business from fans headed to the game.
"We are ready for the ballpark, we are the biggest bar on the street. We got a lot of things happening we have a new chef a new game room. A lot of things are happening and we are ready" said Julie Sargentelli, president and bar manager of the White Eagle on Green Street.
The White Eagle had all sorts of things planned for fans before and after the game.
"We have a DJ. He is going to DJ two hours before and two hours after the game. We have tickets to raffle off and we are running a drink special," said Sargentelli.
Once you hit Kelley Square, you are almost there. You know will know because you will be able to see the Polar Park stadium sign.
We made it to the park after a 12-minute walk.
