The AUT Student Hub is the place to go for help with most student issues on each campus. It gives you access to a range of services and support options to help you succeed at AUT.
Our student advisors can help you with your personal or academic needs and put you in touch with other services on campus. We can assist with a range of wellbeing support and are always available to discuss your needs. These appointments last about 45 minutes so we can take the time to work on the best outcome for you. For any quick query just pop in the Student Hub and someone will help you.
You can make a booking using the AUT App or My AUT as well as view our advisors profiles.
If you're not sure which booking you need use the info below:
If your ability to attempt or prepare for an assessment is affected by circumstances beyond your control, you may be able to apply for special consideration. The Student Hub, Counselling and Mental Health team and Student Medical Centre can complete the Impairment Report required for some students.
If you're experiencing financial difficulty while studying at AUT, our student advisors will discuss your situation and carry out a financial assessment to help you get back on track.
A qualified student advisor can talk to you about general international information, medical or travel insurance, immigration, visa matters, personal safety, wellbeing, and social and community connections.
If you identify as rainbow (LGBTQIA+), AUT can support you with specialty care so there are no barriers to your learning or social activities. You can meet with a student advisor who is dedicated to rainbow support and can provide ongoing advice, care and assistance, and connect you with the rainbow student community.
If you are Deaf, neurodivergent, or have a disability or medical condition, AUT can support you to access adaptive technologies, find apps and settings allowing you to interact with your phone and computer in different ways. If you find it difficult to access course materials, take notes in class or look at a screen all day, adaptive technologies may help make your studies a lot easier.
If you are Deaf, neurodivergent, have a disability or medical condition, AUT can support you to ensure that you enjoy the full university experience and participate in your learning to the best of your abilities. Meet with a student advisor to find the right support for you as well as ensuring that you have access to ongoing advice and assistance.
If life events are having an impact on your ability to study or if you're simply not okay, meet with a qualified student advisor who will work with you to find solutions and put together a support plan to ensure your wellbeing and academic success.
If you're experiencing financial difficulties, you can apply for emergency and hardship support online or get in touch with the Student Hub to discuss your situation.
