Google must comply with sanctions imposed by the United States Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC). As a result, AdMob is not available to users in the following countries or territories:
- Crimea
- Cuba
- So-called Donetsk People's Republic (DNR) and Luhansk People's Republic (LNR)
- Iran
- North Korea
- Syria
Recently added regions
If you're based in a location that's recently become subject to OFAC sanctions (for example, Crimea), your AdMob account will be suspended. We'll send you an email to let you know that your account is affected. Unfortunately, no grace periods or exceptions are possible. If you believe your account shouldn’t have been suspended, please use this contact form to request an appeal.
Account access within embargoed regions
Even if your account is not based in one of the embargoed countries or territories, you could still be affected by the embargo. That's because when you’re physically present in an embargoed country or territory, you won't be able to sign in to AdMob. However, you can still access the AdMob Help Center, Policy Center, and other AdMob websites that don’t require signing in.
Refunds for existing accounts
Due to U.S. sanctions on embargoed locations, you won't be eligible to receive payment for any earnings currently accrued in your account. No exceptions are possible. If sanctions are lifted in the future, we may be able to issue payments at that time.
Location targeting
These regions aren't available in the location targeting tool to either target or exclude.
Countries or territories subject to OFAC sanctions are not targetable (and do not appear as targeting exclusions) in AdMob. For recently added embargoed locations, existing campaigns that previously targeted an embargoed location will stop running. To resume these campaigns, edit your campaign and change your location targeting to avoid targeting the embargoed country or territory.
Account support and optimization
If you're located outside these regions but promote products or services based in one of the affected regions, you're not eligible to receive customized support or account optimization.
