Fix app crashes on Google TV

If an app crashes while you’re using Google TV, this article can help fix the issue.

Check for app updates

  1. On your TV, search for Google Play Store.
  2. When Google Play opens, at the top right, go to the profile picture or initial.
  3. Select Manage apps & games and then Updates and then Update all.

Close background apps

  1. From the Google TV home screen, select Settings Settings and then Apps.
  2. Select the app you want to close.
  3. Select Force stop and then OK.
