- The Aadhaar-linked mobile number is the same one registered with the bank account you want to add on Google Pay.
You don’t receive one-time passwords (OTPs) from the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) if:
- There’s no mobile number linked to your Aadhaar.
- The mobile number linked to your Aadhaar and the one registered with your bank account don’t match.
To find the mobile number linked to your Aadhaar:
- Go to https://uidai.gov.in.
- Select the preferred language.
- Select My Aadhaar Aadhaar Services Verify Email/Mobile Number.

- Update or link your mobile number.
- To link a mobile number for the first time: Fill out the Aadhaar enrollment form.
- To link a mobile number not registered earlier or to update an existing one: Fill out the Aadhaar correction form.
- To verify fields that require an update, submit documentary evidence.
- Provide your biometrics for authentication.
- Make the payment.
- Receive the acknowledgement slip that contains the Update Request Number (URN).
- Once the update is complete, you can try to add your bank account on Google Pay again.
