Notification

For developers that have a payments profile with India set as the legal country who are eligible for a payout, you're required to complete onboarding and verification with our external processor partner Billdesk. If you're required to complete verification, you'll receive a notification email from Google and a verification request email from [email protected]. Please follow the instructions in the Billdesk email. Your payouts may be on hold until you complete verification with BillDesk.

Merchant disbursement verification & payouts on hold

If your merchant payouts from Google are on hold:

If some or all of your payouts from Google are withheld, you won't receive your payouts until Google completes its review of your account. You won't need to take action during this time. Disbursements may be on hold for up to 35 days.

We'll contact you at the conclusion of our account review. After Google successfully completes your account review, you’ll receive the remaining balance of any held funds in your next scheduled payment. Learn more about merchant payout schedules.

If Google requires more information, you may be notified to complete merchant verification. You must successfully pass verification in order to receive your payouts.

If you need to complete merchant verification and your payouts are on hold:

If unusual activity is found on your account, Google may require you to provide information to receive your payouts and re-enable your merchant billing account. Your payouts are on hold until the verification is completed and your account is re-enabled.

If you don’t complete the verification process after receiving a request from Google for information, you won’t receive future merchant payouts and your merchant billing account remains closed. You won't receive any further merchant payouts until your account has been cleared. In this case, you should refund all orders that you haven't received merchant payouts for.

If you have trouble locating an email from Google, go to pay.google.com to check for alerts and to begin the verification process.

To check the status of your merchant payouts on your payments profile:

  1. Go to pay.google.com.
  2. Check Alert for alerts.
  3. Follow the on-screen instructions.

Required documents for merchant payouts verification

Check the email that we sent you for details about the specific information that we've requested in your case.

To complete the verification process, you may need to submit information such as:

  • Details of recent activity: You'll be asked to provide details about the activity on your account, then share details about your relationship with your buyers and business reasons for recent payments they've made to you. If the explanation provided doesn’t meet all the questions, you'll be asked to resubmit your verification with more details.
  • Government-issued ID: If the address on your government ID doesn't match the billing address in your payments profile, you'll need to submit proof of your address with a bank statement, or other proof of name and address.

We securely store your personal information and treat it in accordance with our Privacy Policy and Payments Privacy Notice.

Check your account for these errors

To prevent issues like these in the future, check your account for these errors:

  • Provide your full billing address
Make sure your address on file with Google payments matches the full billing address associated with your payment method. A full address includes street number, street name, city, state, and zip number. You can update your address from payments profile settings.
  • For Play Developers, use the same merchant ID for different apps
When you develop new apps, make sure that you use one merchant ID instead of creating new merchant IDs.
