You can use Google Photos to automatically organize your photos and videos into a timeline of meaningful moments. You can customize your memories and share them with others.
About Memories view
With Memories view, you can:
- View a timeline of your meaningful moments.
- Save your featured memories to the Memories view.
- Create new memories.
- Add or remove photos, edit titles, and add dates.
- Create shared memories to collaborate with others.
You can view a curated timeline of your memories.
To switch to Memories view:
- On your device, open the Photos app .
- At the bottom, tap Memories.
Create a memory
Important: New memories that you create are also saved as an album. The album highlight may appear in your featured memories carousel.
- On your iPhone or iPad, open the Photos app .
- At the bottom, tap Memories.
- Tap Add .
- Select the photos you want to add to the memory.
- Tap Add Add a title.
- To exit, tap Done .
Edit a memory
Edit title- On your iPhone or iPad, open the Photos app .
- At the bottom, tap Memories.
- Select the memory that you want to edit.
- Tap More Edit title.
Tip: You can get help with titles for your eligible memories. Learn more about AI-created suggestions.
- On your iPhone or iPad, open the Photos app .
- At the bottom, tap Memories.
- Select the memory that you want to edit.
- Tap Add photos.
You can add missing days to a memory to add any photos taken that day.
- On your iPhone or iPad, open the Photos app .
- At the bottom, tap Memories.
- Select the memory that you want to edit.
- Tap More Add missing days.
- Select the days you want to add.
- On your iPhone or iPad, open the Photos app .
- At the bottom, tap Memories.
- Select the memory that you want to edit.
- Tap More Edit Delete .
- To exit, tap Done .
Share a memory
You can share an entire memory so others can add photos and videos.
- On your iPhone or iPad, open the Photos app .
- At the bottom, tap Memories.
- Select the memory that you want to share.
- Tap Share.
Remove a memory from Memories view
- On your iPhone or iPad, open the Photos app .
- At the bottom, tap Memories.
- Select the memory that you want to remove.
- Tap More Remove .
Remove a memory highlight from an album
Important: When you remove a highlight, it doesn't delete the photos in the memory or the memory itself.
- On your iPhone or iPad, open the Photos app .
- At the bottom, tap Memories.
- Select the memory that you want to edit.
- Tap Remove.
