Skillshop has a data recovery section that lets you request a merge between one Skillshop account to another. Your current account’s history, such as completed learning paths, achievements, and certifications, can be moved to another account.

This page details the steps on how you can request a merge of two Skillshop accounts.

Note: Users cannot merge Skillshop Google Ads/GMP/GA and Skillshop Other Topics accounts.

Before you begin

Make sure the recovery email addresses for both Skillshop accounts are the same. You can edit your recovery email in My Profile. For step-by-step instructions on updating your recovery email, see this page. Keep in mind that the account you’ll merge will be deactivated.

Instructions

To merge two Skillshop accounts, you'll need to recover your previous Skillshop profile. Here’s how you request for it:

  1. Sign in to Skillshop using the email address of the account you want to merge your data into.
  2. On the upper-right hand corner, click My Profile.
  3. Go to Edit Profile.
  4. Click Recover your data at the bottom of the page.A GIF shows where the data recovery section can be found in the Edit Profile page in Skillshop.

  5. On the “Recover data from an existing account” page, enter the email address that you'd like to merge your data from.
  6. Click Continue.
  7. Check your recovery email address for an email from “Skillshop” [email protected] with a verification link.
  8. Click Verify

Your merged account history will show up on your current account within 24 hours if your request is approved. Google holds the right to reject merge requests if they are unable to verify that the two accounts belong to the same user.

Note: Your recovered account will be automatically deactivated within Skillshop and deleted after 30 days. After deletion, a new account may be registered with the recovered account's email address.
