Set up Duda to obtain user consent

To capture valuable insights while protecting user privacy, you need to collect consent from your website users. We recommend you use a Consent Management Platform (CMP) or work with your Content Management System (CMS) to collect consent and send it to Google.
 

Set up consent mode

To enable consent mode in your Duda account, follow these instructions:

  1. Login to your Duda dashboard
  2. Select the site you want to edit. We recommend you select one of the option listed from one of our privacy partners.

If you select Usercentrics:

  1. In the left hand panel, Select App Store and then click Privacy and Compliance.

  2. After the plugin is installed, you will be given 2 options for plans, “Free” or “Business”. Choose the one that works best for your business.
  3. To continue, click Got it and then click Start Setup. The scanner will detect the products on your site, this may take several minutes.
  4. If the Google products you have configured on your site are also in the list of detected products, click Confirm Setup.

  5. Under the “Website information” section, enter the name of your Data Controller.
  6. In the upper right hand corner, click Save Settings and Republish.

If you select Termly:

  1. In the left hand panel, Select App Store and then click Privacy and Compliance.
  2. After the plugin is installed, you'll be given 2 options for plans, “Basic” or “Pro”. Choose the one that works best for your business.
  3. To continue, click Got it.
  4. Sign in with your Termly account. If you do not have an account, click Sign up to create an account.
  5. In the dashboard, click Get Started.
  6. From here, click Scan Now. The scan will take a few minutes to complete.
  7. When the scan has finished, click View Report.
  8. Click Generate Cookie Policy to draft a simple policy for the tags detected.
  9. Click Add to Website.
  10. On the left hand panel, click Consent Management to expand the menu, then click Consent Banner.

  11. From there, in the upper right hand corner, toggle the “Consent Banner” to enable the banner.
  12. Scroll down to “Consent Settings” and under “Google Consent Mode” choose On.

  13. Scroll down to the bottom and click Save.
  14. Republish your site and reload the page to see your banner with consent mode.
