What does “phone verified” mean?
If you see “phone verified” listed on the “About” tab of a channel page, it means the channel owner has voluntarily completed phone verification. Phone verification will only verify that a user owns their phone number. This label is visible to all users within India using YouTube on a computer, mobile device, or on the YouTube app.

We added this label to comply with the Information Technology (Guidelines for Intermediaries and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021 (“IT Rules”).

- On your device’s browser, go to youtube.com/verify. Sign in if you’re asked to do so.
- Choose how to get your verification code.
- Enter the 6-digit verification code.
