You can add or edit playlist titles and descriptions, reorder videos, or remove videos from a playlist.
Notes:
- This feature may not be available with supervised experiences on YouTube.
- There's a limit to how many public playlists a channel can create each day across YouTube Music, YouTube main app, and the YouTube API. You can increase your daily limit by gaining access to advanced features. Learn more.
Add a playlist description
- Go to the Library tab in the YouTube app.
- Select the playlist that you'd like to edit.
- Select Edit .
- Add a title or description.
- To confirm your change, tap the arrow in the upper corner.

- Select the playlist that you'd like to edit.
- Below your playlist title, tap Edit .

Reorder content in a playlist
- Go to the Library tab in the YouTube app.
- Select the playlist that you'd like to edit.
- To the left of the video or Short, tap and hold the two lines next to the content that you want to move.
- Drag the video or Short up or down to reorder the playlist.
Filter your playlist by video type
- Go to the Library tab in the YouTube app.
- Select the playlist that you’d like to edit.
- Choose the chip with the type of content that you want to view in your playlist:
- All: Displays all content saved to the playlist.
- Shorts: Displays Shorts saved to the playlist.
- Videos: Displays long-form videos saved to the playlist.
Remove content from a playlist
To remove content from your playlists, use these instructions depending on your version of YouTube mobile.
YouTube app
- Go to the Library tab in the YouTube app.
- Select the playlist that you'd like to edit.
- Tap More next to the content that you want to remove.
- Tap Remove from [PLAYLIST NAME].

- Tap Menu next to the content that you want to remove.
- Tap Remove.
