徳川家康公ゆかりの地であり、その居城だった岡崎城がのちの活躍により出世城と呼ばれていますが、その岡崎城の北にあることからでしょうか？店名が城北飯店という中華屋さんです。
食べログの百名店に名を連ねるこのお店1970年創業ということで50年を越える歴史を持つお店です。
開店直後に伺いましたら、すでに1週目は満席、、、ということでウェイティングボードに名前を書いて待ちます。
携帯番号を書けば、駐車場で待っていても連絡をもらえるということでした。
私が伺った時には、まだ最初に入ったお客さんにまだ料理が届いていない時間でしたので、結果約1時間待って入店しました。
相方と一緒に行ったので、ランチの中で、えびのチリソースと中華だと鉄板の麻婆豆腐と別々のものをチョイスしました。
ランチは1300円で、サラダ、スープ、ごはんとおかずという組合わせで、デザートもついています。
えびチリも麻婆豆腐もどこにでもある中華のド定番メニューですが、こちらのお店のえびチリは、大きくてぷりぷりで、チリソースも辛みとろみがちょうどいい感じでした。
麻婆豆腐も肉感のあるミンチが柔らかい食感の豆腐との食感の面白さを演出しています。
デザートは、相方が杏仁豆腐、私がマンゴープリンをチョイスしました。
杏仁豆腐は濃厚でやはりほかのお店などで食べるのとは違いました。
マンゴープリンもおいしかったです。
また岡崎へ行く機会があれば、お邪魔したいと思います。
